EVENTS!

May 19 Dinner Meeting – Please come join us at 7:00pm for an evening of fun and excitement by meeting new friends. Mark your calendars and take one night a month for yourself. Remember, your family can survive one night without you and you can always use a night away!!! You definitely deserve it. Don’t forget, the MMOM group will pay for one member’s dinner each month. All you have to do is come to the dinner meeting to get your name entered into the month’s drawing. Good Luck!

June 14 Family Fun Night at the Grizzlies Game - June family night will be on June 14 at the Gateway Grizzlies game. Our group has reserved a limited number of tickets for the 7:05pm game. We will be sitting in the picnic table seating area on the left side of the park. There is a playground area near the tables for the kids. The ticket associate that I spoke with assured me that you can see the game from the picnic tables. I myself have never been there so I'm taking his word for it. I have heard that the Grizzlies games are alot of fun and several of our members requested this for a family night. Again we have a limited number of tickets and they will be held for members and their immediate family on a first come basis. Please RSVP to Natalie by June 1 by email knbumann@egyptian.net

March 9 Family Fun Night at the YMCA - On March 9th our group reserved the YMCA on Carlyle Ave in Belleville (across from SWIC). This was the event that had to be rescheduled due to the ice storm. We are happy to say that we finally got it in. Unfortunately, we didn't have a very good turn out because of cancellations due to the kids being sick. Everyone that was able to go had a really great time. The YMCA has a lot to offer for all of our age groups. They have a Fitness Center, a gymnasium, an indoor pool and a children’s center. We will have access to all of these areas. The fitness center is for ages 13 and up. It has stationary bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, etc. The gym will be set up for volleyball, basketball or dodgeball, which ever we choose. The indoor pool is 3.5 feet to 6 feet deep. It is regulation size for those professional swimmers. You are able to bring in floaties, life jackets and water toys. All ages are able to swim with adult supervision. There will be lifeguards also. The Children’s Center is for ages 1 through 5. It is basically a room to play with soft climbing blocks, child size tables and chairs and many activities.

March Family Fun Night at the Magic House – The MMOM group travelled to The Magic House Children's Museum in Kirkwood, MO. on Sunday March 30th. The Magic House Family Fun Night was awesome. We had 26 families from our group attend and 13 families from the triplet group (through Jen Ashauer-Meyer). This was an incredible turnout!! It seemed as though everyone had a good time. The kids were all so entertained (although not many parents were relaxed). It was nice that we had The Magic House just to ourselves. The manager on duty told me that on a normal Sunday, they may have anywhere from 1,000 - 2,000 people come through. So for our group of about 175 people, the place looked a little empty. I personally think its much better when its a little less crowded. I hope everyone got a chance to see all 3 stories of the museum. My boy’s favorite part was making their hair stand up by the magnetic ball. Although their hair is short and stands up all on its own, they got a good laugh at seeing my big mop sticking straight up. The Magic House is just an awesome place to go see. My kids loved it and they didn't want to leave. Please send me your thoughts on the night and if we should do it again next year.

MMOM Spring Re-Sell-It SaleThe mandatory sale meeting was again successful. We had about 50 members sign up to sell. A few members got lost coming to the new location, so we got started a little late. I went over the sale rules and guidelines and answered questions. Everyone selling is urged to read the rule sheet we passed out. The sale is very huge so that is why is to so important that everything be done the same way. I know some of the new members may think we are a little over compulsive with the cards and pins, but once they see how it all works, they hopefully will understand. We pre-sold our fundraiser shirts. We sold 44 shirts. I will re-order them and we will sell them at the sale to members and to the public.

Here were the sale details.
